Reinventing myself is my thing. Is it or is it not?
Growing to version 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 …of myself, closing the gap to what I could be under the flag of expanding inner freedom has always been my driver.
But…and there is BUT…
When you chase something with such vigor and persistence (at least for the past 25 years in my case), then you are running away from something with the same vigor…until...until you can’t run away anymore or don’t want to.
Holding a vision for my life came easy to me until I lost it and felt completely lost for direction. It’s easy to live when you know your “why”, easy to make decisions as criteria are clear, no need to motivate yourself.
Every cell in your body is resonating with it. No doubt, no inner conflict. Brain only performs an executive function, serving an invisible master. Even life plays along, and serendipity opens doors which, would have been unimaginable otherwise.
I knew that my lost state was known to others when I heard a feedback “You are like a TV set, which receives the signal but doesn’t broadcast anything”. It hurt and it hurt to know that it’s so visible.
To regain the feeling of being fully plugged into my “why” I was ready to venture to Tibet and Peru, learn psychology, coaching, eastern and western wisdom (bagging certificates and diplomas along the way), slay inner dragons.
Anyone who embarked on a similar journey of reinventing themselves, would testify that after a while, despite a “roller coaster effect”, it’s a very rewarding journey and one starts to get a special buzz from being able to do things today that totally paralysed one yesterday.
10 years fast forward, here I am, slayed many demons, plugged into my vision, my why, committed to my passion project.
What you need to know is that:
...as long as you keep trying to live your best life
...as long as you keep choosing your true authentic self at every moment in time
...as long as you keep following that inner calling even in the times of uncertainty when doubt clouds your vision
life will always come your way, right support will come your way.
Persistence pays off.
